Eric Byrnes….. How do you find the words to describe Byrnsie!! He’s one of a kind with an energy few can even comprehend.
Eric has been a mentor in multiple facets of my life both on and off the field. Byrnes and I played together in the Major Leagues with the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was my first call up and Byrnsie took my under his wing instantly. Guess he could see a lot of himself in me so we hit it off instantly.
Quarantine!!!
It’s the night before I have to jump back on that plane to head back to Australia to prepare for the upcoming School holiday NxtGen camps.
With the travel restrictions and 2 week hotel quarantine laws in place means I have to head back two weeks earlier than anticipated, two less weeks with my son, my heart my boy!! This trip has been so incredible and the bond between my son and myself has never been stronger I’m an enhanced version of myself putting everything into action I preach.
It’s the night before my first ever open ocean swim.
Yes, the distance is a push 2km in the open ocean is no joke especially when you consider I haven’t swam for years.
Every day we try to do something to stretch outside that comfort zone. Whether it’s 14k, 10k, 5k, 2k it’s not about the run it’s about what we tell ourselves when that mind tells you to stop.
Join us as we cross the Harbour Bridge together.
Wow!!! Still trying to find words to describe yesterday. The amazing people I was around for 13
hours running to the sheer sickening resilience I showed myself is still pretty hard to
comprehend.
As I lay here in bed the morning after Bondi to Manly 80.7km’s a little nervous to move or get up to assess the damage, my mind is still having a hard time processing you just ran 80.7km’s for 7hrs and 54 minutes straight.
